1/4 mile times???

I've had SP1474 now for about 2 months and have been cleaning, polishing, and tuning now. My pipes have been sent off to be coated and I am dying to get them back.
In the meantime, I'm not sure what it will do in the 1/4 mile? I've heard everything from 13.5 to 11.8.?!!??
I thought this might spawn some interesting comments and a chance for some of you to brag a little!! LOL!!
I've got a 385HP 351W motor with a tremec T5. Anyone with anything similar with quarter mile times for comparison would be appreciated or if you just want to let us know what you are running...

P.S. Anyone know where I can get a chrome water overflow tank for a 351W?

Thanks.

Foxman,
How can you have SP (I presume Superformance) 1474 when it's a 1999? My 2002, built in January and delivered in March is 1274. Compulsive minds want to know...

Don't know about the Cobra yet, still waiting for delivery. My 5,500 lb. Tahoe did the 1/4 in 15.406 seconds at 88.8 mph. Not too bad...
Can't wait to try the Cobra though

Jason, you actually have chassis number 474, the "1" in front of that three digit series is not part of the numerical identification continuation known as the "Superformance chassis number."

Since you live in LA, contact Doug Reed, he is the SPF dealer down yonder and the finder of all things Cobra in your neck of the bayou.

Phone number of the man they call Doug is (504)271-2013

There are several earlier threads on Cobra 1/4 mile times. I suggest doing a search and looking at what some of the comparable Cobras have run.

Based on the modest amount of info that you have provided, I would expect you would run a low 13 with the big variable being what type of tires you are using plus how skillfully you can launch without smoking the tires (not easy)!!

Foxman,

Here's an aluminum expansion tank for a 351W:

Click on page 17. With a little mothers or another type of aluminum polish, it will look like chrome in no time. Hope this helps...
