Old "Racing" photos for the "Racing" forum.
Here's a few photos from some archives which you may have not seen before. Most are from LeMans in '66 and '67, with a few others thrown in for good measure.
John Mc; Don't drool too much...you need to go to work today! :) http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-020as-med.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-019as-med.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-018as-med.jpg http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-017as-med.jpg (More to follow...) |

This one is my favorite. This is just before the very first race of the new GT-40 at Daytona in 1965. Ken Miles and Phil Remington discussing the possibilty of installing an inline-six from one of the Ford Falcons parked behind them. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-002as-med.jpg |
OWEEEEE!
These are terriffic, Bob. Thanks for the fathers day gift. All those pictures of the Shelby guys, especially Ken Miles and Phil Remington are treasures. All the best! |

Big Bob......
WOW!!! You had me at 'Hello' big fella!!!!! Are these the pics we were discussing last week? The 'Seldom or Never before seen" pics??? Absolutely great stuff. Gotta tell ya though, that skinny white cat, Miles???? Looks pretty gruesome in the shoit with CS. I expect to hear him break out int the "Time Warp" song from "Rocky Horror Picture Show"!    I particularly like the shot of the GT40s in various states of undress in the garages. More...more...more..... P.S. - Thanks fer sticking to yer guns and continuing to provide us with stuff not founf in the Freidman books. Now, if you could just get Phil Remington or Lynn Park to post here. Hmmmmmmm.....;) ;) |
JM,
Well, Phil Remington may not be posting here just yet, (I'll try, but I don't think it will be anytime soon as he doesn't even own a computer) but you guys have the next best thing; his daughter Katie is a member and posts as Rem Jr. As far as more photos, this is just the tip of the iceberg and I promised Cal Metal that I wouldn't post anymore so we can use the good ones for an upcoming project. You won't believe the stuff we have! :) |
