VIR History site
If you really like browsing through old race photos and history, here is a fabulous site on the early history at VIR:

What a find! Thanks for posting the link. I absolutely love that track. I am fortunate that it is only 2 and a half hours from my home. I have been many times to watch various events (Mostly Cobras of course) since it reopened. My step mother used to watch races there in the late 60's and early 70's before the track closed. It is really neat to look at the pictures of the track during construction and compare them to the way the track looks now. :cool:
