Here is a view of ol'e 99 at Summit point WV, notice BB ERA driven by a427sc,aka McFez (Don Durner) just waiting for a chance to blow by Cranky.
BTW He did. Later that day he had a tape playing of Linda Ronstadt singing Blue Bayou

One, maybe BOTH of those machines looks like the ones in Jim's "Bitten by..." video. Is this true in either case?

Fred,

Nope...I can vouch, that is Roger Davis (in front) and Don Durner (in rear) at the COM event at Summit Point May 20 & 21, 2002.

Dan,

www.comscc.com

A time trials club and drivers school out of MA was originally called the Corvettes of MA sports car club. They run New Hampshire Int.
Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, Summit Point, and Mosport in Canada

A nice group of guys to run with and a few FFR spec racers were at Summitt Point.

Dan,

All you have to do is look for the Club Cranky posts under All Racing Talk. We list every track we're going to.

If you want, send me an email and I'll add you to our mailing list. You'll get all the updates on what we're doing via email.

Feel free to bring your wife!

E-mail on the way. I am not real big into time trials. I did check the site, but didn't see anything about who the instructors are. Maybe I could come up and be instructor for some of the events. Summit Point is what we consider our home track (even though next year we will have two closer). I think I am playing instructor for the FFR get-together at Summit in the Fall.

Bobbie makes most of the events. This weekend she is will be at Kershaw in driving school working towards her license. She is thinking of running an RX-7 or maybe a Legends car next year.

Dan

If you want to be an instructor for COM, contact the Chief Instructor, noted under Club Officers. COM instructors are generally members with experience, a willingness to ride with a novice, and a personality that gets along well but maintains some authority. Your skills definately qualify, but we have never met and it's not up to me anyway. Most run in SCCA, Porche, BMW clubs etc. I know they are always looking for instructors, as there are always more novices than space available.

I run with COM just for the track time, but we run limited passing etc. Maybe a little mild for you, but more than enough for me.

Don
