A-prepared or Modified. The local SCCA has been running me in EMOD but it appears that this is incorrect. Check it out:

You think yours is strange? They have me running in A Stock. :JEKYLHYDE Now, I ask you, what is "stock" about a Cobra replica?
I haven't said anything, because frankly, I don't really care. I don't feel completely outclassed by the other AS cars, and besides I'm just there to run as fast as I can and have fun. Now if there were prize money involved.... Steve |
A Stock
In EMod they had me running everything from a National Champion GT3 tiger to a Ford ranger pickup with a V8 swap. Good news though is I did beat the pickup!

It really is a crap shoot, isn't it? I run in B Mod up here in the CASC system, which is the equivalent of the SCCA E mod ( I think). The word we have from the SCCA honcho is that if we go to the Nationals at Topeka next year, we'll be in A Prep.

John,
That's the impression I get about the Cobra. At national events, the Cobra is classified as AP. But at the local level, it's wherever they decide to put you. I even asked our chairman about being AS, and he said he'd move me if I really wanted, but we just both shrugged our shoulders and let it be. I don't mind AS, I run with the C4 'Vettes, older M3s, so it's pretty competitive. Being stuck in a class like E Mod or Prepared would be hard, because they are such catch alls. But like I said before, as long as I can run, they can put me wherever they want. Steve |
They wanted me to run AP, I "talked my way" into BP. But there I kept winning my "class". So then they dropped me to BSP. By now I'm like "whatever". I just run as hard as I can and shoot for the top ten over all. 3rd overall was my best finish. Great fun!
