I'll be there...hopefully with the 289FIA, if not, the Mustang.
Also, are there Db limits for this track? I wanna run my open pipes on the 289 at least once.

Thanks Jim,
So its either the stock 289 pipes or the Mustang with the Spin Tech mufflers.
...time will tell!

DANG IT CRANKY
YOU SHOULD HAVE MORE OPTIONS ON THE POLL
LET'S JUST SAY FOR NOW THAT KEITHW, CLOIS HARLAN, LEW PAYNE, DAVE NIMITZ AND I WILL BE THERE. MAYBE A FEW MORE
AS TO THE CARS THAT WE WILL BRING...LEW, CLOIS AND DAVE WIL HAVE THEIR COBRAS. WE WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE OR TWO COBRAS. KEITH WILL PROBABLY HAVE THE DAYTONA COUPE THERE COULD EVEN BE MORE IF CETTAIN THINGS WORK OUT.
GOOD TO HEAR THAT COYLED AND NELSON WILL RETURN.
NOT SURE IF THE CHICAGO GUYS WILL BE THERE WITH THEIR COBRAS OR IF GREGG WILL BE THERE.
ANYWAY, WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO IT
AND LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING ALL YOU YANKEES
MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE TO SOMEWHERE LIKE TULSA SO WE CAN RACE SOME MORE
CYA THERE
JAY

Jay,
How many options do you want? It's either a Cobra or some other type of Ford powered ride.
Crankoids move!!! I don't think so.
Watkins Glen 4 hrs
Lime Rock Park 3 hrs
Pocono 11/2 hrs
Beaverun 5 hrs
VIR 10 hrs.
This will probably be our once in a lifetime trek to Elkhart Lake. I know it's a great track and wer'e gona give it our best shot but we have some of the best road courses in our backyard. Moving is not an option.
Since you guys have been there before we can only assume that we will be the guests and you guys will supply the booze. We'll supply the comedy(just watch us on the track)
This could be fun!!!!!
Cranky
BTW So far only two Cobras signed in.

How 'bout I just leave the hood shut and nobody would have to know that I'm not running a Ford. The benefits would be two-fold. 1: I wouldn't have to build a new, Ford powered car and 2: You all could give me a lesson as to why it was a misstake to use a Chevy in the first place.
I'll be there with a new, cough...Ford...cough, cough ...powered Cobra.

Scott,
If you just adapted a set of Ford Valve covers some would not know the difference. I would not protest untill you passed me.

UMMM....NO
WE DON'T SUPPLY BOOZE TO INDIANS OR YANKEES
SCOT AS TO YOUR POST. LAST YEAR JUST BEFORE THE MEET KEITH BLEW HIS 428. HE HAS AN EVERETT MORRISON WITH A KEITH CRAFT CHEVY IN IT. THEY LET HIM RUN ON THE FIRST AND THIRD DAY BUT NOT FOR TIMES AND COMP. DAMN NICE OF THEM SINCE WE DROVE FOR LIKE....WEEKS JUST TO GET THERE. HE TOOK OVER THE SEAT IN THE KENNE BELL EXCALIBER FOR THE TIME DAY AFTER I WAS PULLED FROM THE TRACK DUE TO ROLL BAR HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS.
AFTER LOOKING AT THE PICS I TOOK... ALL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PULLED. EVERYONE JUST ABOU WERE ABOVE THE HEIGHT.
NO PROBLEM THIS YEAR WITH NEW ROLL BAR AND SHORTER DRIVER
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS EVENT IS WELL WORTH THE TRIP NO MATTER WHAT.
CRANKY...YOU NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE ME...DRIVE TEN WHOLE HOURS TO RACE...DAMN SON...WE GO 20-24 FOR THE GOOD ONES.
BY THE WAY YOUR SCHEDULE IS GONNA BE OURS IN THE NEXT YEAR OR TWO. YOU DRIVE THE COURSES WE ONLY DREAM ABOUT AND WE ONLY HAVE TEN OR SO WEEKENDS A YEAR TO EXPERIENCE LIFES FULLEST.
NEW THIS YEAR FOR US...PIKES PEAK, LBJ FREEWAY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND DIFFERENT CARS.
OH AND THE NEW TOTER HOME WITH 3 CAR STACKER TRAILER, GOLF CART AND CHINESE TAXI.
JAY
PS. YOU HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR COYLED AND NELSON...THEY ARE DAMN QUICK

Cranky
I think that we can take care of any Libation worries you might have.
Of course you have to tell us if you Yankees have any weird drinks in mind.
By the way, I am getting a good turn out for my No Problem Raceway event with a bunch of really neat guys.
Look forward to meeting you folks.

Cranky- Beleive me, I've thought about the valve cover trick.
Jay- Actually I'm building another light-weight E-M track only car to have a full cage, as I don't feel all that safe in the current car. The RA event just gives me an excuse to build an aluminum SC1 motor.
Was Keith's Chevy powered E-M at Run and Gun? I saw an Aluminum 18* Keith Craft there.

YEP SCOTT
YOU ARE CORRECT. KEITH'S CAR WAS WAS THE 65 CAR AT R&G. WHITE EM CAR WITH THE MASSIVE ROLL CAGE. REALLY UNIQUE CAR THAT CONTINUES TO EVOLVE. IT IS A 98" WHEEL BASE WITH LEEEF SPRINGS SOON TO BE CHANGED. RUNS A MODIFIED 700R4 TRANNY BY PHOENIX TO HANDLE 850HP. BROKE THE REAR AT THE DRAGS.
UNFORTUNATELY THE ONLY PIC OF THE CAR IN KITCAR MAG IS ON THE PARADE LAP. 4-5 CARS BACK ON THE OUTSIDE.
EVIDENTLY MIKE DOESN'T LIKE KEITH BECAUSE HE ALSO OWNS TWO VETTES

Scottj, sorry, they won't let you run the bow tie motor unless the event is not sold out. But if they do, lesson granted. It is a fun event, so regardless of motor, I hope you can attend. With either motor though, bring some brakes, you'll need them. Scott
