Need to buy a Transponder

Does anyone have a good source for a hard wired racing transponder (AMB Type) or maybe a rechargeable version.

I need to buy one soon and would consider buying a used one if there is anyone willing to part with theirs?

Call me at 918-633-5336

Thanks,

Clois

Transponder

Clois,

You're welcome to use mine. It's the rechargable kind.

Doesn't look like I'll be going to Road America.

Email me your address and I'll send it to you.

I use the rechargeable kind so I can move it from car to car. Full charge lasts for 3-4 days. Discovery Motorsports in Chamblee Ga has good prices on new ones.

Go to any SCCA Regional or National race. They have transponders for rent (to racers having a problem with their own) or for sale. If you're playing, consider the rechargeble version. Race cars normally will have the transponder hard wired so it comes on when the ignition is on. A bit embarrassing to attempt qualifying and discover yours isn't turned on.
