Ordered My HANS device today
Hi Guys,
I watched a show on the History Channel called "Race Car Tech". The show covered the history of safety in racing cars. I was supprised to hear that the number one cause of death and injury to racers is due to neck injuries. I'm going to be doing some arrive and drive race events in F2000 this year so I decided to go ahead and shell out the money to buy some protection. The HANS cost me $1100.00. A little steep yes, but when I consider that it may save my life it dosn't seem so bad. I also picked up a three layer Sparco suit at 50% off on close out. The suit is bright yellow which will go just perfect with the red gloves and blue shoes that I also got on close out. I don't guess the fire will care if I'm not color corridinated. I did the same for the Cup Car. If you did not get the speed release clips, I would get them. Makes it a lot easier to get on and off without help. |
