Best NASCAR race of the season is this weekend!

Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen!

IMHO, this is my favorite race! Of the two road courses NASCAR runs, this is the best (and its also the home track of Club Cranky!)

Expect some serious fender banging as some of the Golden Boys try to get back into the chase.

On NBC at 1PM Sunday, 8/14.

As one who watched Gurney kick NASCAR's best 4 straight years at Riverside in the 60's, I share your love of road courses. However, I think Sears Point is more technically difficult and a better test of the driver. If he doesn'y have any mechanical problems, and that's a big if, the race will be won by Gordon, not Jeff, Robby. With the same caveat Robby will also win Saturday.

Times have changed in Nascar, todays best Nascar roadracers are now Nascar regulars. Not taking anything away from Boris or Ron Fellows but they just don't have an edge.

I have to agree. The points leader Tony Stewart is very strong of late and very talented on the road courses too. I also think NASCAR at the Glen is the best race of the year.

Jeez....................the man is completely dominant lately........no one else close from start to finish.

Well I was close, Robby Gordon finished 2nd in both the Cup race and the Busch race. And I still think Sears Point is a more difficult track.

NASCAR doesn't run 'the boot' at the Glen, that's where all the fun is. Wish they did. Never ran Sears Point so I can't compare the two. Have you run on either track?

Sears Point seems to be more sports car oriented than Watkins Glen. Slow speed corners at SP and high speed fender banging corners at Watkins Glen. I've never driven SP but I have driven thousands of miles at Watkins Glen so it would be dumb for me to say which is more difficult.
