Prayers for a racer

For those of us that put their cars and lives on the track with their machines, I ask that all of you give a prayer for someone that I have never met who lost his life today at Motorsports Ranch south of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Whomever it was was driving a Mazda Formula racer and was not in my class. It doesn't matter but another driver has been lost and I grieve for his family and pray that something will be learned and that God gives the family strenth during this horrible time.

In the normal hustle and bustle, noise, pit work and talk that normally occurs during races...I was in awe that the pits were quiet and almost to a man that every person there was on the wall and that the silence was awesome. You could almost here the prayers as they were sent.

May God hold and keep another racer in his mighty hands and may in heaven he race with all of the greats that have gone before him.

My prayers as well.
I know the feeling that a death on the track brings to entire event. I've been in the same situation years ago in Del Mar, CA. (It was a Cobra no less!)

thanks for the information, Jay, and how terrible a tragedy for him and his family. We are just out there playing with our big toys.... Life is fragile....

I have an acquaintance that races Mazda's at MSR. I'm assuming Frank knows this person; I'm praying it isn't my acquaintance.
