HPDE at Watkins Glen
 
I finally got to go to a Track Day in decent weather. Two days at Watkins Glen was a blast. I started slow because this was my first time and the car had never been on a track (plus it has street tires).
By the end of the first day I was making my way around the track pretty good and on the second day I was sliding around with the best of my "newbie" group.
I plan to get some "R" tires and go to a few more events. I may even tow to Sebring in October.
This could get expensive but fun!

Pat,
Next week , August 2,3 Apex is running WGI. The most track time for the money. Students get five 1/2 hr sessions per day and Open trackers get five 1 hr sessions.
I instruct with PDA and Apex and I can tell you Apex is the best school at the Glen.

I was hoping to get to both events, but it isn't going to happen. Work continues to interfer with the importent things in life.
Even though I am officially "retired" I have to work for health insurance. When is the next APEX event??
I keep trying to attach pictures but they seem to be 10 times as big (file size) as the attachments allow. Am I missing something??

Pat, you have to create or choose an "AVATAR" which is really a tiny jpeg or graphic file A good size is 75 pixels X 75 pixels or less than 19 KB or else the servers won't take it. You can use a graphics prigram like Photoshop to make one out of your favorite pic. make it as contrasty as possible.
Go to User CP in the top menu and go to "edit avatar" in the menu box to the left. It would be a good time to fill in your profile as well.:3DSMILE:
