Airbags at the strip
I wasnt sure where to post this. Has anyone tried airbags at the strip? I plan to put an airbag system in my upcoming project car, but i won't if its risky, or not allowed at the strip. I figured since you can tune it pretty much any way you want, it would be okay. But, ill stick with conventional suspension if it will prevent good hooking, or puts the bags in jeopardy.

For the most part, most tracks aren't going to say much as long as it looks safe. You will def need to have good shocks or you will have really horrible wheel hop. I'd actually bet you'll have wheel hop issues no matter what. Just from experience.
My s10 http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...23_41_full.jpg My first car http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_265_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_266_full.jpg ^^ that car was fun... the entire interior was fiberglassed by me! TONS of time into that car. It was just a toy and ended up parted and junked when I outgrew that ricer thing! haha |
Has anybody used airbags on a Cobra period. Don't want to derail your thread, but I'm considering them as well, but just to get some clearance for speed bumps and the like. Just hit the button and up it goes. Mustang II front end.
