Anyone else going to the northwoods shelby club event at road america? I just recieved my application. It's for 3 days, the weekend after labor day. I went last year and had a nice time, lots of fun and good people. I posted once in the cobra talk section, but no response.Racer x, Is there a car show that weekend? scott

No car show that weekend Scott, Just a little open track running at the best little 1.5 mile road course in the world. Lime Rock Park in CT.
X BTW, would you beleive they are going to let me be a Cobra Judge at a large Ford show in NJ this summer (waxers beware) |

Yeah,I'm going to the road america event in september. I try to go every year. Kinda gets in the blood. Got some new sticky rubber and made some engine tweaks since last year. Hope to lower my best time a couple of seconds. When are you arriving? |
Doug, I am going to be there on thursday afternoon in time for the tech inspection. Last year we pitted with some ffr guys, gordon levy, mike foss and greg lapoint. If we can lets pit in the same area. I have also made some changes since last year. Mostly the driver needs help, lots of it. What tires are you running? scott

I'm using Kumho V700's. Hate the name, but they seem to be pretty good tires. I started using them last year, and was suprised on their comparison to the BFG R1's I have used for years. I'll arrive on Thursday, too. Getting the car teched early allows for some early relaxation. Can't wait to get back to the best track in north america! |

Mike, Nelson and I are in. There will be several SPF cobras there and a few new csx cobras there. Nelson has a FFR spec racer. I will probably be the only Hi-Tech there, it should be fun. scott

The lake house we went to this weekend is 45 min. to an hour west of the track. So I got a place to stay with no problem and depending on how late the suns up I can do a little sking after the the day at the track. I give you a call to work out all the details. Thanks, Mike :) |
