NASCAR without Petty?
Looks like my neighbor, Richard Petty, may not have a team in NASCAR next year. He has been a minority partner in Petty Enterprises since the sale to Boston Partners last year and now with a merger into Gilette/Evernham motorsports he may be out of it altogether.....even the name. I suspect we may not recognize the new face of racing in a couple of years. Not stock car racing, LeMans, or even formula 1 with the withdrawal of Honda. Hard times all around. Maybe the time is right for Indycar to rise back to the top, or maybe even grassroots racing like NASA or SCCA. %/

We can only hope!
I went to 3 INDY car races (Homestead, Richmond & WGI) last season and had a great time. Those are some real race cars. The tickets are affordable and the access is terrific. I met Kyle a bunch of years ago when I was racing with Austin. He is a genually nice guy. Bob |
