Hallet What a nice track

We ran ther this weekend at the 35 MidAmerica Ford event and what a nice track it was, I loved running though the hills just outside Tulsa. The track seemed to be in very good condition,I herd it was repaved three years ago.Anyway almost everything went off without a hitch with 1 broken fan switch that was easly replaced before the next round.I ran in group 1 with the help of Clois Harlan showing me the way the first session much thanks Clois.I wish we could have run with James Yale. and Dean Lampe but things didnt work out The heat was nasty at 103 but inside the coupe was even worse I may go ahead and put some snapin insulation to sheild me from the radiated heat. But overall it was a good day, Larry Reyburn told me it was a tough track on brakes as ours faded:eek::eek: towards the end of the sessions.(Brake ducts) needed Larry and Sammy both ran group 2 so I didnt get to run with them either shooooot.Im hoping to go to more events ther in the future thanks for all the helpfull hints on getting around the great track everyone:D

I was there, too. I was in the orange Roush Trak Pak Mustang in group 2.

What did you think of running the course backwards on Saturday?

The most fun was had by all that stayed for the Saturday session and ran the course clockwise. It is a lot faster this way....way faster. I was there Thurs-Saturday in the Blue Pantera. Cobra was at home this year.

Hallett is indeed a fun, fun track. Little rough around the edges, but the Stephens Family has a great track. I need to get back there.

The blue Pantera was a nice looking car, saw it go around a few times. It is indeed blue!

Justa cool time at a Hot track

OOO man I luv that color blue on the Pantera.I did enjoy the clockwise track but being ther first time We enjoyed the hole show sooo much exept the heat.We hope to get back next year. The guys ontrack got pretty racey out ther and that just gets me going even harder.I long for the days of wheel to wheel competition but not the repair work caused by overzellous drivers willing to risk the car for 1000$ purse:eek::eek::CRY::CRY:.This is a good medium were driver control and headsup driving are the rule.Rather than driving in your mirror blocking the faster cars behind you,we allknow how this ends up.Thanks for the new buddies we made and connecting faces to those names from CC. It was fun...WB3
