Hiding Wires
What are some of the methods used to hide the harness wires in the engine bay and trunk?

Remember one very important thing regarding hiding wires......future maintenance. Just make sure that "if" you might need to gain access to the wiring, you can get at it. In addition, plan the engine compartment wiring so you can remove it easily if you got to pull the motor..be a bit practical.

Zack, I'm in the middle of my build. I have been using a product from design engineering called cool tube along with shrink tube to clean up the wiring. It's a bit pricey, comes in a buch of colors and is availble through jegs. good luck

Pegasus racing has a nice thick plastic spiral wrap that works well.
I come is two or three sizes and looks good when finished.

Split tube is most used with numerous sizes and colors. There are some other options, you can buy a product from electrical wholesale suppliers, they call Sealtite Flex, a heavy walled flexable conduit with or without metal re-enforcing. Just remember heat is electricity's #1 enemy. Try to find areas away from headers, exhaust, ect . . .

I like braided nylon with heat shrink on the ends. It comes in some basic colors to match.

I used the split tubing. I think black is the only color I like. I used some little square plastic blocks with a slot in them to affix the wire to. I got them either at an auto parts store or Radio Shack. I don't remember. They had double sided tape to attach them to the underside of the fenders, out of sight. That adhesive failed when exposed to the underhood temperatures. So did JB Weld. I next tried Liquid Nails construction adhesive to mount the blocks out of sight under the fenders. It worked great. I simply attached my wire bundles to the blocks with a zip tie and it has worked for 17 years.
