Electrical Question

Alright I need you guys again. I don't know if this is normal or not. I finished the wiring and everything works great. The one thing I don't understand is when I turn on the parking lights all work fine. When I turn on the headlights the front parking lights go out. The bright and dim work great. When I turn off the headlights the parking lights come back on.

Any tips. I used the harness from Kwik Wire.

Thanks
Joey

I can't tell you about your particular wiring harness, but I can tell you that back in the 60's, the front parking lights were supposed to go off when the headlights came on. Only in later years were they wired to stay on. Perhaps you have a wiring harness than replicates the old features.

Thanks for looking. The problem was the lug on the headlight switch the parking lights were hooked to was not hot when the headlights were on. Simple fix, move the parking light wire to a lug that was hot all the time.
