Carpet Install

I was pulling the carpet out of storage since it is getting time to install it. Never paid it much attention in the past but after a little looking and some temporary fitting to kill some time I started to get bothered by this process. Nothing in this build has bothered me much. Body work, paint, motors, trans, electric, not that big of a deal, one step at a time and things will come together. Anyway, this carpet thing looks like a big deal making it look good. None of the pieces fit even close. I know there is some cutting and fitting but this just looks horrible.

How bad is it? Will it really look good when finished? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,
Just take your time, fit piece by piece. I started out with a roll of carpet. Just trim a little at at time and keep checking, I stuck masking tape on roughly where I needed to cut to help.
Hardest bits are rear bulkhead and gearbox tunnel, for these I left oversize, glued the middle, then worked out or down cutting and glueing in stages.
Good luck!
Mark
