Carpet Install
I was pulling the carpet out of storage since it is getting time to install it. Never paid it much attention in the past but after a little looking and some temporary fitting to kill some time I started to get bothered by this process. Nothing in this build has bothered me much. Body work, paint, motors, trans, electric, not that big of a deal, one step at a time and things will come together. Anyway, this carpet thing looks like a big deal making it look good. None of the pieces fit even close. I know there is some cutting and fitting but this just looks horrible.
How bad is it? Will it really look good when finished? Any suggestions? Thanks, Aaron |
Hi Aaron,
Just take your time, fit piece by piece. I started out with a roll of carpet. Just trim a little at at time and keep checking, I stuck masking tape on roughly where I needed to cut to help. Hardest bits are rear bulkhead and gearbox tunnel, for these I left oversize, glued the middle, then worked out or down cutting and glueing in stages. Good luck! Mark |
