AMICA Certification

I got my DMV packet for NYS Certification of my Cobra. After looking it over the DOT/SAE Certification numbers for all lights became a question. I cant find any of those numbers on the lighting that came with the A&C Kit. I called Tom at the DMV about the lights and he said I need different lights. All lights. The only other way the ones with my kit will work is if I provide him with paperwork from AMICA that states my lights are ok. As an example he said that FFR Kit lights do not have the proper DOT identification but the kit comes with the AMICA paperwork that makes them legal.

Tom couldnt say one way or another about the A&C Kits but I know several of you have them registered in NYS. Did you get different lights. Is there paperwork that I have not found for these lights? Im working on catching Joe at A&C but any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Aaron
