water pump
What are you guys using to block off your heater hose ports on the water pump. I'm using a Mildon high volume. I looked at tapping the ports and use a plug but the walls are too thin. The ports are part of the casting, so any ideas? Dave

Assuming there is enough material in the casting, cut the ports off and thread the remainder in the waterpump body for a tapered pipe plug. You'll never have to give it a second thought. Do it once.

heater
you can buy rubber end cap (make sure they are for heater, hot water) and cap the ports. You hold them on with hose clamps. You may change your mind later and add a heater.
