body twist

When mounting the body has anyone had trouble getting it to set level? My front passenger side is 1" higher than the drivers side. I don't want to pull the right side down to put it in a bind. Just wondering is everyone's car the exact same on the measurement or how did you fix it without binding the body up?

You`ll find this is common on A&C bodies.
Everybody who has an A&C has questioned this.

Supposedly, after you have the car completely assembled, it`s not really noticeable unless you really, really look for it.

So did you use shims or adjust the mounting brackets in front to accomdate the difference or what? Just curious if you let it ride where the body lays or evened it out

I`m not at the point in my build yet where I`m ready to permanently mount the body.
Once I get to that point, I`ll give it a good look see.

I did but just kinda wanted to see what others were doing. Leaving the lower side or getting it out.

Call Joe

Ask Joe as mentioned. I didn't have that problem but where is it 1" higher?

I did ask Joe he kinda said let the body flow out which is fine but I'm wondering what everyone else did. My right front is one inch higher than the left. I don't want to push it down and bolt it and the first time I hit a bump it crack but on the other hand I would like the car to sit right. I don't think you would be able to see it just looking but I want to do the right thing here. Just trying to see if everyone's car is dead on level or is it a little off. My frame is dead in and even everywhere. Thanks for the input.

The way we did it before .....get the body on level ....attach the mountings to the glass and then weld them to the frame. If you stress the body ...it will crack....
