Ordered Body - Royal Blue

Yesterday, I finally Ordered my Body - Royal Blue - Ultra luster Gel coat - Tan leather interior.
Sonny said 6 - 8 weeks....no problem since I bought my 429/460 45 years ago. Started frame build 5 years ago....Fired motor this last Fathers day.
.......I was always going to do Red, but I guess I got tired of thinking about Red after 45 years.
Also, I was going to order my drive shaft but Denny suggested waiting until I mount the body incase I need to move rear axle Fwd or Aft. Has anyone had an issue with having to adjust the rear axle after mounting the body?
Looking forward to this next part of the build. I do plan to upload some pics of my build to date.
I've always appreciated responses on this site!

For me, Pete Clark made sure everything on my rolling chassis was square.
I mounted the motor /tranny then measured and ordered my driveshaft from Denny's.
Mounted the driveshaft and then picked up the body.
Once I had the body I positioned it on chassis to what looked the best to me, tire fit in the wheel wells front to back and square all around.
Once I was satisfied I put 4 drilled holes thru the body interior area and frame and used the large pop rivets as dowel position pins.
This way I could take the body on and off as needed before I was ready to bolt it down for good.
Don't forget to put the felt material on the top of the frame rails before you first put the body on the chassis.
I did this 15 years ago and shortly after A&C had done minor changes to the molds, but no changes to the basic body shape. I believe it was to the wheel flares, hood and doors.
The only adjusting I ever did to the rear end was adjusting the angle of the pumpkin using the adjustable 4 link tie rods.
You will need 4 people to lift the body.
Good luck, take your time.

Not very much, same with oil pan.
Just under 4".
You have to watch curbs and stuff on the road.
I can remember years ago I came across a raised area in the road and tried to straddle it and the next thing I know my oil pressure was dropping and temps rising.
Stopped and looked back to an oil trail.
The drain plug was gone.
The threads were good and I just replaced it, I think it simply was unthreaded by the edge
of the road surface.
