just wondering what everyone elses ac # is. Mine is 191

PNJSNAK 02-08-2004 07:02 PM

How do you know? I always wondered. Yor see the SPF guys and others use their serial number alot to identify their rides. Is it a number in the Vin#? Or is the actual number of Cobra's built by A & C?
It would be nice if Joe T. would supply some identity tags or something?

hey roscoe. whats up? yeah i received a cert of origin and also a vin # did u receive that?

John Poling 02-09-2004 10:48 AM

Mine also had a Certificate of Origin and a VIN # too, however, I had mine inspected by the state and had it certified as a true 1966 model year. My title says it's a 1966 Cobra Conv, This was a great thing 'cause my specialty insurance told me that he would not be able to insure without it being titled this way. My original C of O stated it was a 1998 which meant it would have been insured/taxed/registered & titled as a 1998. Maybe this was a loop hole I jumped through in the state of Indiana.

Guys, I think we need Joe T. to chime in here. Hello!!!!!!! Joe!!!
What do you supply as a Serial number of the car you delivered to us ------! Also, did you ever think of supplying a decal for our windscreens to advertise the "Antique & Collectibles" name? I was thinking about going to the local sign company to make me one, "Anyone interested" I can investigate the cost if you like and even supply them!!!! Gee!! Joe T. is this something you might want to do!!!!! Da !!!!! A & C "never heard of them". Like at DVSFI, II & III, How Many were there? TWO! Steve B. and PNJSNAK! We need more guys with our Mfg there this year!!!
Jim

Second Roscoe. I used Squire for car number and class for SCCA. I used a clear backround and white lettering on mine for a painted on sort of look. Service was fast and price was reasonable. They are static cling and have held up well over two seasons. Although I found that when you drop them on the hot side pipes they did tend to wrinkle up REAL fast!

Neil: Just remembered to look at my certificate of origin today. The number on the lower left and first numbers in my Vin is A-020. Now I ordered my cobra from Sonny in June 2000. It's hard to believe that mine is the 20th cobra/chassis they produced. Can someone help me with that number and help identify the number on the certificate.
Jim
