first "steps"
this is neils wife, Julie. we let the cobra down of the jacks this morning and she sat on the ground for the first time with everything "almost" done. started her up and put it in gear:MECOOL: rolled ahead a foot or so and went back and forth for about 10 min. neil couldn't wipe the smile of his face. he can't go far as we are waiting for a piece for the steering wheel. i haven't seen him smile that big in along time. well worth all the "honey we need more $" that has been going on for the last year.oh well the kids will get a car instead of cash as their inheritance. LOL wife of a happy cobra owner in Maine

Congrats on .......
Congrats on the first step! Pretty soon she'll be walking & running. Keep at it.
Neil, you are very fortunate to have your wife in your corner. Good Luck, Tony |

Another great wife!
Don't worry about the kids. Mine are already fighting over who gets the house and who gets the car when we kick the bucket! The car pays in other ways to. My wife and I use it to get away, spend some time together. After all, it only seats two! Sorry kids!!!!!!!:D Rick |
I have Spending My Kids Inheritance on my trailer and I get some real nasty looks :( but the thumbs up out weigh them

Neil: sounds like the boss is proud of your accomplishment. When does the snow finally melt up there? We still have plenty of snow and ice here in northern Ohio. Did all my work on the engine compartment, only piece of rubber left is the by-pass hose to the water pump. Someone please tell me how to get rid of it on a 351W!!!!!!
Cranked the beast over this past weekend, and let it run for a while, kept getting some white and blue smoke out the passenger side pipes. Ugh!!!!!!!! Need to do a compression test to see if I blew a head gasket. Hopefully, it was just the 10 degrees F. outside causing the problem!!!! Still can't figure out why with the motor running the wipers don't park.. On ACC they work perfect! Jim |
drove it today
it was only 18 out but we took it for a quik spin. very cold and very cool:) can't wait till it is nice out and we have plates on it and can really take it out. have insurance now at least. it was getting scary there for awhile. freezing but happy in maine
