A&C throttle pedal question
Guys,
Struggling with what to order for a throttle pedal and linkage. What works in an Antique and Collectible? The instructions have the throttle linkage inserted through the side of the footbox, which I persume is a space issue if you have a clutch. I will have an automatic, so that will free up a little space in the footbox, and thus I could go through the top. Any and all advice from the experience will be appreciated. Has any one used Lokar pedals? Tryning to make progress here. Jer |
Hi,
There is plenty of room using the pedal through the side of the foot box. I have a standard clutch set-up and there is more room than you think. I decided to change out the supplied linkage rods for 1/4 stainless rod and just threaded the ends. Be sure to follow the instructions (if you can call them instuctions :p) for drilling the holes and mounting the pivots. If you need any help send me and email and I will give you my phone number. There are also a lot of build pictures in my gallery. I'm down in Rochester which is only about 4 hours from you. :D --Mike |
Mike,
Ok you win, you have the most pictures in your gallery! Whew! I did find the one with the linkage rods, and stainless does look better than the matte black rods A & C supplies. Thanks for the advice. Did you use the Antique and Collectible pedal? Yeah, you and I are practically neighbors...ha, ha, ha. Jer :D |
I used a Lokar pedal with the cable going straight up through the footbox. I used a 36" Lokar cable (could have gotten away with a 30) and run that to a CSR throttle mount. I have been running this setup for over 23k miles without a problem.

Roscoe,
Thanks for the reply, and the picture really helps me visualize what the room situation is down in the footbox. Going to look at Lokar pedals again. Jer |
