New pictures,

Hi guys,
I know for some of you my build is going fairly slow, but as some of you also know life gets in the way sometimes. Anyway take a look at my new pics.
I finished mock-up, took her apart and started detailing the frame and suspention. New black epoxy on the chassis and started putting her back togther. I know all of you that have built one of these, or any car, know the feeling I have now that the engine and trans are in and the wheels are on. I cant stop smiling. Thanks for looking, Sam

Looks awesome. I didn't, and couldn't, build my own car. I think I would feel a lot of pride if I had.. but I like driving too. Congrats... remember to record the sound of the first time it goes vroom and post it for us to share with you.

Sam,

Took me just over 2 years to build my A & C. I know what you are feeling. Take your time, do things right the first time. Take many pics. I wish I had taken more. Your build looks great, I remember the joy of each major accomplishment during the build and the satisfaction. Keep us posted on your progress. And remember warm weather is comming to Upstate NY in a few short months, so keep building!

Best Regards,

Build time

Don't feel bad on your build time, mine took me 12 years to finish. I started with just a frame and bought just parts , doing all the work myself. Very hard with a lot of advise from this web site I don't mind adding. A divorce, a house, some stuff got in the way but it's finally done. Your pictures look great.

Sam, When you get the car finished you will need a place to go! WEGMANS in Canandaigua has a GREAT cruise night every thursday during the summer. Sure would like to see your car! I hope to have mine on the road this summer too! Hope to see you THERE!

Nice

Sam,

Together with my wife and two sons, we made our build a family project. To hear my wife tell it, she always says, "It was a real adventure".

The way I see it, there are only three kinds of Cobra people, those who buy a newly built Cobra, those who buy a Cobra that someone else built, and those who build them themselves.

I am sure that I, like many of the others in here, built many models cars in our youth. Building a Cobra is the ultimate model, so to speak, you get to build it, start it, and drive it.

Good luck with your build and I am sure you will have many lifetime memories.

Also, don't forget, if you run into any snags, reach out to us as we are always willing to help.

Tony
