Side Wind Visors

I just noticed on my windshied that i received from AC ,that the side windshield braces have i set of holes for the side wind visors. Meaning that i can only mount the upper bracket. Its like this on both sides. I checked my visor kit and they have two sets of holes and brackets for each visor. Did any of you come across the same concern. Or did the manufacture not drill the additional holes that i need for my lower bracket on my windshield. Find that hard to believe since the concern is on both sides. Or did you only use one bracket. I can't see that being enough when you are traveling highway speed.

Thanks in advance

The set of holes on the top of the frame are for the ragtop holddown bracket. The windwings are supposed to mount in the existing holes used for attaching the frame to the windshield. However, some people using these existing holes have cracked their windshields.

I suggest drilling and tapping your mounting holes.

Automan:

I just drilled holes and used stainless steel screws and nuts that have a blind hole. Don't try to use the existing screws because I heard of some guys craking their glass because the screw length might be too long.
