Front rotor issues
 
Everyone out there must be just thinking that this guy probably should of bought a Yugo. HAHa

Ok, so here i am doing another run with alittle bit more confidence. Engine is running the best ever. I start hearing a slight thumping and then i start feeling it on my stearing wheel. I have a manual rack. I pull over to the side and start doing the checks. Wheel nuts are good, lwers, uppers, tierods etc.
Nothing is popping out at me. So i continue with my run but start heading back home. about another mile and it comes back but way worse. I pull over and see that my driverside tire is angled slightly. I look at the rim and oh my God!!! i am now missing 3 studs along with the wheel nuts. The other two are loose. I start walking back and find two studs and one wheel nut. Called the wife and she brought out the jack and tire iron. Pulled off the tire and the rotro hub holes are completely smooth. No signs at all of spline markings to hld the studs. I slide the studs back in and tighten the wheel back on to the best that i can. So curiousity sets in and i go check the passengers side and one stud is also loose. Got it back home very slowly with a few stops to re tighten the nuts. Yes they are loosening up.

Well guys! What do you think? I thinnk that the manufactures of the rotors didn't put any splines in these rotors or missed at least 3 on one and one on the other.

It is not laughter.

There are no splines in the casting, the splines are on the studs ( well at least they used to be ). It is a press fit and 10 tons is minimum to press them in. If the nuts were tight in the first place, there is little to go wrong.

Where did you get the rotors?
Are they remans or used?
Are you using the correct lug nut for the type of wheel you have?
Did you use a torque wrench when the nuts were installed?

Don't take this next question wrong but, "does someone not like you or the car?"

Did you put wheel locks on each assembly and are they loose?

May I suggest you go with the simple and work up to the hard to believe.

Just a suggestion.
