A&C Whaddya Think?

I'm looking for some opinions about the A&C Cobra body and the company. I had a mishap with my old NAF and am now looking for a new body for my custon built 90" WB frame. I know that A&C has been in business since dirt was invented so I'm assuming that they must be a decent outfit to do business with. I've talked briefly with Sonny and he seems like a good guy. Any input will certainly be appreciated.

Karlos;
Some of the best Fiberglass bodies around is what they are known for. I had to use longer hardware than what was supplied with the kit because the fiberglass was thick. The cowl area is 3/8" to 1/2" in areas. You can get it in Black Gelcoat for painting or in any color you want except metalflake. They buff out the colored gelcoat almost to the point where all you need is wax and go. NO painting or body work, I loved it, saved me Big Dollars, 7 years and 15k miles still looks great.
They mount the hood and trunk and you get to hang the doors with the cowl hoop, oh boy lots of fun doing that. The interior area is part of the body, you will need 4 to 6 guys to move it around.

Jim, thanks for the response. I'm leaning towards going with them. When I talked to Sonny at A&C, he sounded pretty interested in getting my business. I'm also thinking about making the road trip to pick up the body rather than pay the almost $2000 freight. Would be a fun trip, after the winter weather is gone back there. I'm looking forward to getting busy and getting my baby back on the road. K.

I rented a truck and took my chassis up to Buffalo for a fitting. I was very impressed with the quality of the body.

Clois,

Can't wait. I have rolled her out a few times on nice days just to light her up and get the oil running through the motor. We need a few good rain storms to wash the salt off the roads before I take her out.

Hey Johnnie!

You got dat right. I've repainted most of it black. John Deere green was not my best choice.

I have built many different kits over the years and my first choice is the ones from A&C. They are great people to work with and always staying on top of there products to make sure it the best out there. There are a few on my site that we did lately.

Stop by and see what we are working on @ www.eddytheb.com

Karl,

That is a Gadsden Flag.

In fall 1775, the United States Navy was established to intercept incoming British ships carrying war supplies to the British troops in the colonies. To aid in this, the Second Continental Congress authorized the mustering of five companies of Marines to accompany the Navy on their first mission. The first Marines that enlisted were from Philadelphia and they carried drums painted yellow, depicting a coiled rattlesnake with thirteen rattles, and the motto "Don't Tread On Me." This was the first mention of the Gadsden flag's symbolism.

Semper Fi,
Roscoe
