DYNO Day
As some of you know, I have been (now completed) installing a new engine in my Cobra. In the process I found a speed shop in Gilbert that has a DYNO and he is willing to do a DYNO day on a saturday (TBD) at his shop for us. Normally he charges $150 for two pulls but will do it for $100. He will not do any tunning but will be glad to set appointments for anyone who wants to come back and "tweek" their motors at a later date.
Coffee, donuts and lots of HP all around. His shop (Speed Sports) is located near Eillot and Gilbert. Any date is OK for him. Let me know if there is any interest and I will coordinate with Speed Sports for a day that will work for all or most of you who are interested.
I would be on the road with you this weekend but I want to put a few local miles on the engine before a long road trip. Have a fun drive.:)

The club as a group did this once in Chandler at a Mustang Dyno. Everyone was upset with the low numbers. If the Dyno in Gilbert is a Dynojet you will get more favorable numbers.

Guys, that $100.00 for two pulls with no tuning, is still on the high side. I'd work that guy a little harder.

I agree that $100 per person is high when there are several of us there. However I am more then willing to pay the price to see that I have more HP then all the other AZ Cobra guys.:)

There is always B&R Automotive; I think I have a picture in my gallery. Also Dyno Comp in Norht Scottsdale. Both may give us a deal. B&R is normally closed on Saturday but they may do it. I think they charge me $75 and surprised me with numbers... They can play with the numbers as well but who is kidding who? %/

I'd go to AZ dynochip. I've been to dyno days in the past and the best one was here. The power values come out the same as drag strip trap speed calculators.

What a great place! Got 8 pulls and carb dial in adjustments for $150. (2.5 hours) for the new engine in my AC MKIV. Outstanding. They can do groups on weekends or less busy on weekdays. They will serve food & drinks, too.

Dynochip seems to be a better deal. I'll let someone else take over.

Dan,
Figure I'll wait until early next year. You need to get some good miles on the new motor before going to the dyno.

I went to Az Dyno last week and for about $100 he made several pulls to tune it just right. He also solved burping problem that he traced to a faulty rad. cap and added about 2 qts. of anti freeze. A great deal and a great guy in my book. Mike.

Mikiec, put a good old 408 in yours and be done with it.
