3 link instructions needed.

I am looking for a set of FFR 3 link installation instructions. Does anyone have a set that I can borrow / copy / buy ?

DWRAT 12-09-2009 09:08 PM

John,
Give this a click.

DWRAT, thanks for the link. Do you know of anyone up there who has installed one ? I'd like to crawl under the rear and get some pictures.

Danr55 12-11-2009 01:49 PM

JOhn wants to crawl under someone's rear for photos?

Karl Bebout 12-11-2009 03:59 PM

That John...he's a tricky guy. He's probably got a pair of glasses with a digital camera built in. Not letting him gt near my rear end.

DWRAT 12-11-2009 04:14 PM

John,
I have the Levy 5 link you can look at.

John-Tucson 12-11-2009 04:21 PM

You know that I read and re-read that sentence when I wrote it and thought of the possible repercussions but I didn't know of any other way to say it. Karl, your rear end is safe, I don't do Cheyv products. Dan, you and your dog are safe but watch out for the Cobra. DWRAT, no that is quite a different setup. Let's see if I can get out of this posting without any sideways comments.

I am SO relieved. Didn't think that anyone would really be interested in taking a picture of my firm, muscular, buns of steel.

I'm going to be sick.

Hi John,

I have the 3-link setup on my (almost finished:3DSMILE:) Coupe, what do you need pics of ?

If you want to see it I am up here in Payson.

Hi Dave, Do you have any pictures of the installation ? Where did you start ? I have a FFR MKII chassis. Any shots of the right and left sides and center are appricated. Did you have any install problems ? Do you happen to still have the installation instructions ? Thanks, John

Knightrider 12-14-2009 10:50 PM

Hi John,

Take a look at these links,

http://picasaweb.google.com/beartoothweb/3LinkInstall#

http://www.sierrafirerescue.com/cobra/3link/3link.html

http://www.ffcobra.com/galt/FFR_3_Li...Suspension.pdf

The Coupe kit I have started out as a 4-link and as far as I could tell was the same rear setup as my mk-II Cobra. It was a pretty straight forward install as I had good access to all areas, it might be a little more complicated on a finished car. I can take some pic's tomorrow and look for the install doc's if the above links don't help.

Does the Factory Five 3 link use the stock lenght lower control arms from the Fox Body Mustang?

The basic answer to your question is yes, stock length. I think most people that install the 3-link also add the Factory Five tubular rear lower control arms if they don't allready have them.

Hi Mike,

What took you so long? I have been expecting a ribbing from the peanut gallery.

I have been having a lot of fun doing the coupe, changing lots of stuff, doing my own electrical and you would be proud, manual brakes and a potato on the lump.**)

Everything works, just finishing the interior then the glass will be the final item.

Big hug to Ginny...

p.s. Sorry about the thread-jack John, hope the doc's help...
