Tires again.
After Brian's mishap I was sent this email.
UV is very hard on tires, and vehicles left outside, especially during summer, or in the more sunny parts of the country do suffer rapid tire degradation!
There is a 30 sec commercial at first --- and then the video. The video is well worth watching Please watch until the end, because some of the most important stuff you need to hear and see is past the middle of the segment. It could save your life or that of someone you love.. Pass it on after you've seen it. I think you'll want to.

Now why do I think that may be an issue with some of these cars wanting to have the ventage look! I am going to go look at my tires.

I hear it helps if you change the air in them occassionally. Like you change oil in your engine:eek::p:JEKYLHYDE.. Whatdayathink Mikie?:cool:

If changing the air is too much trouble just rotate the air. Criss cross pattern for non directional tires and front to back otherwise.

This is the exact reason I installed new tires.
My tires only had 2500 miles on them but they were 10 years old.
Looks like the rookie is a pretty smart rookie.

Replace all your tires when they are between 5 & 6 years old, hopefully you will live.
Based on my own experience..this is my rule. Tire rotation, air correct pressure may help but they still come apart when you least expect it.

Who started this rumor about changing the air? Adding oxygen to the tires would be a mistake. Leave the old oxygen depelted air in the tire. Better yet, fill them with nitrogen.
