A new geyser in Peoria
I had forgotten what a Geyser looked like, until I had one in the garage.
Sorry no pics. Mike |
What blew?
I had a fire in my garage yesterday after I had the Cobra running for about 20 minutes and my fender cover slid off the fender and on the side pipe. I kept smelling something burning but I figured it was my new Teflon rear main seal smelling for some crazy reason. |
Let's just say you should not take off the rad cap until pressure does down. :):):) It looked like old faithful.
I have not done that in over 30 + years Mike |
I hope your OK, I know that could be a bad situation.

Does that mean we should call you Geyser Boy? :D

Mike,
Glad that you weren't burned by the hot water. But you aren't the only one who has done that stupid thing. That is why I put a catch tank on mine and a release type cap so I can slowly release the pressure and water into the tank if I need to take the cap off when it is hot. Ron |
Years ago i worked in a radiator shop and i had a customer come in whose car was overheating and before i could say anything...........
there was a loud rushing sound and a huge plume of anti-freeze when HE removed the radiator cap............. 2nd @ 3rd degree burns on his arm, shoulder and face....... the thermastat had stuck shut and all that hot anti-freeze had to go somewhere 3 days in the hospital and a couple of skin grafts later......he still bears the scars. PLEASE be careful when you mess with HOT ANTI-FREEZE.... |
OUCH! Mikie, did you hit any studs at the same time?

It really was not hot yet. About 160 degrees. I just stood back in amazement. After the event was over I had to clean my car and Ginny's Hedghog.
Geezer or geyser boy works. Mike |
