Headlight stone guards
I bought some stone guards from Finish line, no instruction or tech support, how do you install. The reason everyone is so close , someone said make the person next to you smile, and we did.

Loosen the headlight cowl and slide the tabs under the cowl then tighten it back down. Should hold in place.

My clips are held in place only by pressure from the chrome beauty trim ring, no screws. Has held fine for 9 years. I have 2 sets of clips, one short and one long. You may have to cut clip base to length. My guards touch the headlight glass. I also had to make the guard more "concave" by force to fit snugly over the headlight lenses. Bought original set from Finishline but soon after found similar set at Pep Boys.

Don't make the mistake of installing the stone guards directly against the lens, unless you are only after the "look".

I ended up buying a second pair of trim rings and welded the chip guards to them, then had'em powdercoated black. Now I can go stock look or race-car look with the removal of one screw per side. Easy!

Even with the stone guard not touching my old lens it was broken by a stone. I can only assume the guard saved breaks previously so I have had only 1. Now 1 old lens and 1 newer lens. Newer lens much more convex, old one almost flat.
