The founder of AZ Shelby Cobras left at end of 09, it was taken over and ran by ex-wife ( Christal) and her boyfreind ( Tom ) who went on to defruad many customers and were forced out when both Shelby pulled their dealership and landlord at the 15001 N. Hayden Rd loction locked them out of failure to pay.
To date they have several "customers" looking for them in order to recoup damages.

That will save us a trip over there.
By the way, that link you sent does not open anything, at least not on my computer.

I was the founder and co-owner with Christal ( now my X-wife, Thank God )
I left end of 09 with an agreement she was to buy me out, and as with most of her customers never received anything.
She along with her boyfreind Tom moved to the Hayden Rd location after being forced out of the shop in Wickenburg Az.
They sold and resold parts and cars over and over to differnt people and blew the money. There is a long list of people they have defrauded including lenders.
They had the dealer agreement canned by Shelby based on their activities.
I left the marriage do to her alcoholism and all that went along with that. I went on to find a wonder lady that is as honest as Christal was crooked.
I 'm looking at one day returning to the business that I love- Fast cars.

Tom Blesssin sold me a body for 6,000. He didn't own the body. I went to the Scottsdale Police, they investigated and returned a recommendation to prosecute Tom Blessin to the District Attorney. The District Attorney declined to prosecute. There is no doubt that there was a mountain of evidence. Receipts, emails, phone records, eye witnesses. Our government no longer works for the average man. The only way the government would have prosecuted anyone is if I went to Blessin's location and blew his brains out.
Since then my health has deteriorated, Earlier I was put on permanent SS Disability and this has made it worse. We may end up losing our house. I bought this body from an ad on Club Cobra. They cant be blamed in any way for this. It wasn't their fault.
Thats about it. Your prayers are appreciated.

I spent almost 3 hours with Christal Creel and their lead builder Tom Blessin. Richard wasn't there but I didn't think much of it. I've been exchanging email with Christal for a few months and her signature block always identified her as "Owner". Christal is listed as the sole owner of their sister company RC Performance. I did notice this week that her name changed to Christal James. I don't care what goes on in her personal life and never thought about any affect on the business or their relationship with Shelby. I saw no red flags during my visit and am still keeping them in serious consideration for my business as soon as I am ready.

I also had some good exchanges with Tom at T&E Legendary Classics and they are also on my short list. But since they only do 4-speed transmissions they might drop off. I was undecided on 4-speed or 5-speed until I rode in the 5-speed in Arizona. I now understand the 5-speed argument about lower (and quieter) RPM at cruising speeds.

I had a couple of exchanges with Stephen Becker but his answers were very short. I got the feeling he didn't need my business.

Like dcdoug I don't have a local dealer so someone I feel comfortable with is more important than location.

To correct the record about Az Shelby Cobra and RC Performance.
I ( Richard Creel ) started both companies and was the driving force behind them until I could no longer stand to be in the marriage. I agreed to sell ASCO to Christal ( my X) and her boyfriend Tom, who defrauded me as they did to MANY others and were later forced out of Shelby dealership net work by Shelby. They are being sought by several "injured parties" seeking to recoup some fairly large sums of money.

Is Shelby Really This Awful To Its Dealers?

I wish I had more information 3 years ago. It would have saved a lot of time, heartache and lost money.

Richard - if you want some interesting reading, there are lots of thread here about Christal and Tom.

SAI had the legal means & responsibility to immediatly close this dealership the minute that the ownership changed of the dealership and/or changed hands

SAI failed to do so and many people were damaged under the "factory-authorized SAI dealership" banner

If I was one of the damaged parties you can bet your bottom dollar i would be suing SAI for failing to control its factory-authorized dealer and to ultimately close the dealership and notify all parties, which SAI did not

AL G - Did I not swap out your partially-built HST car for a Hi-Tech car so you did not have to wait (after HST went tit's up)??

I don't know exactly what went on behind the scenes but I think "swap out" is a little strong. A new order was placed and it still took 10 months for the roller to be delivered to the dealer. I'm not sure how that saved me any time. Maybe you thought something else was happening.

Regardleszs of what you may or may not have done at that time I disagree with the way you're promoting your lawsuit on several forums. You already have threads about the lawsuit. You don't need to add it to others. Just my opinion. We're all entitled to have one.

What stirred this snakepit? Seems like everyone is at each others throats. I don't think this is the forum to fight about who kissed who's ear guys..
