Eastbumscrew Crew Going to Rt. 66

It looks like everyone is meeting at the Chevron at Carefree and 17. Do we want to form up as a group and head up there together?

mikiec 04-26-2010 05:23 PM

Don't let Dave lead.

Mike

Hey we got the group to the picnic. I sometimes know where I'm going.
Sounds good Dan. Chevron station? What time?
Who else is going from this side of town?

Danr55 04-26-2010 07:46 PM

I'm not sure that 17 is open from 101 to Carefree. Let's leave early enough that if we have to go via Cave Creek, we can make it in time. As far as I know it's just us from this side of town.

dave from mesa 04-26-2010 08:03 PM

What time?

Danr55 04-26-2010 08:50 PM

How's 9:00 sound?

Robert McLinden 04-26-2010 09:44 PM

Dan,

What Chevron at 9:00? I'm going also.

Danr55 04-27-2010 05:59 AM

Bob, The Chevron at McDowell and Recker. Glad to see you.

dave from mesa 04-27-2010 06:22 AM

Aren't they leaving at 10:00? Can we get there in an hour on a fri?

Danr55 04-27-2010 07:57 AM

They are leaving at 10:30. I think we can make it either way we go with the extra half hour. Traffic on 101 should be light enough by that time. I HOPE! Want to leave at 8:30?

dave from mesa 04-27-2010 08:46 AM

From Ginny
"We will be meeting at the Chevron station on Carefree Hwy, just east off the I-17. Our plan is to pull out at 10:00a.m. and head for Seligman for lunch at Sno-Caps."

Maybe Mikie can chime in here and confirm the time.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 04-27-2010 09:30 AM

We do usually leave about 10am. By then we have been sitting around and waiting for quite a while.
Also, it's true I-17 will have lane restrictions from 101 north to Anthem (10 miles) but from Carefree Hwy we are half way there already.
AZ Bob

Danr55 04-27-2010 10:09 AM

Ok Dave, We'll leave at 8:30. I'm glad one of us is paying attention.

Bob M. Did you get that?

Karl Bebout 04-27-2010 11:04 AM

Karl doesn't drive a Cobra, so what does he drive?:confused: tin-man

Karl Bebout 05-02-2010 10:53 AM

Tinner, North American Fiberglass Is tyhe brand of my Cobra body. The one I had for 17 years was built in Tempe in the early 80s. Didn't do so well when I took it four wheeling through the desert and took out lots of bushes and a few small trees. I got another body from the guy that owned NAF, last October and have been having "issues" putting it all back together. Three steps forward, five steps back. Danr is just giving me a gentle dig about not having the car finished yet. Ohhh, the pain! I'll get it going, one of these days and then he won't want to mess with me, at least in a straight line. I prefer drag racing so I don't build for road racing or roundy round.
