Your Insurance Company will handle repairs and interface with other insurance Co. I hope like heck that is all you need. You told us about the accident and that she had insurance and was a licensed American driver who was cited at the scene. Ya got it made and have already beat the odds. In Arizona only 6 out of 10 drivers are even legal to drive, with a lower percentage covered by minimum state insurance standards. For all the possible reasons that means roughly every other driver on our roads has full legal Rights and coverage to be driving. These numbers were quoted to me a few years ago by my lawyer and sure in todays economy it is even more scary. I don't care what your personal views on amnesty and illegal immigration are in terms of humanitarian rational are. The bottom line is no matter how well intentioned or what a hard worker somebody is if they are here under the radar our legal system has no way to recover or force liability. The sync in me says this is no accident that a big trap door is always there if needed to avoid payouts. Been there done that and yes I am still bitter. Un insured and Under insured coverage are amazingly cheap. Make sure you have them for your own protection. |
