Tucson,AZ. to Fort Huachuca on 4-30-11

Everyone is invited to join the Tucson gang on a drive to Sierra Vista, AZ for lunch at "The German Cafe" and then a tour of the three museums at Fort Huachuca. We'll be departing from I-10 and Valencia at 9:45 am on Saturday, April 30th.

Fort Hoochie-Coochie was one of my customers in the Old Digital Equipment days. Drove that (actually from Phoenix) quite often. Nice drive. Enjoy.

I used to go to Holloman AFB too. They used PDP-8s and -11s to gather data on the rocket sleds. That was way cool.

I would if I could. I'll be up in Kingman for Route 66 Fun Run.

Have a good time.

Have fun you Tucson members but, you are missing quite a cobra trip on the Fun Run. You should plan on next year's 25th Anniversary Run. There are a lot of great driving opportunties.

Great drive and awesome food today! Nice to see a decent size group of Tucson Cobras. My blind date had fun as well and she enjoyed meeting all of you.

This was a great trip ! Seven Cobras and a Toyota journeyed 100 miles to Sierra Vista for a GREAT German meal. We have marked this restaurant on our "favorite" list. The entry into Fort Huachuca was very easy, ID's and auto info, only a few minutes to do. The museums (3) were very well worth the drive just to visit them. The buildings are from the very early 1900's and creak and groan beautifully. Other than some sunburn the 200 + mile drive was excellent.
