Dash is In.
Well the dash is finally in. Now Mike can get the wiring (lalalalalalal) all hooked up.
Remember to click the pic. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...h_IMG_0032.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...h_IMG_0030.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...h_IMG_0024.jpg |
The dash color is actually a dark brown but the picture doesn't show that. I had the seats made with the specific color and got several extra yards so the dash, door panels and tranny tunnel can perfectly match. Gonna be purdy with the Cadillac Copper Sunburst paint. Mesa Mike B. sure did a nice job on the dash!

Looking very Nice!! How soon for paint?
|
Lookin Good.. Remember, Christmas is only a little bit off. Better hurry.
|
Guess I could repost the pics. The pics I chose were the lighter of the bunch. The darker pics had the dash what I think is the right color.

Somebody did a nice job on that dash!
I like the switch lineup at the bottom. AZ Bob |
Paint is still a ways out. I do have the same shop that painted the car last time, lined up. We've just still got stuff to do, including getting the car running.
BobB, I had the basic idea of how I wanted the gauges arranged and we all brainstormed the final layout. Mike B. did the installation of the vinyl, gauges, and wiring. |

This is all you have to show after 12 years of work?
|
Dude it's only been 12 yrs????? Feels like longer.

Karl,
I havn't been keeping up with your build. Is that a sequential automatic shifter ? I like it. Cool looking interior too. :MECOOL: |

Two years, Two years. Just seems like more.
Scotty, doesn't that Fat Mat look nice? Thanks a bunch. Mesa Dave and Hector have been doing a nice job installing it. The shifter is a B&M and I guess it could be called a sequential. It will go into only one gear at a time. It would be ultra extremely difficult to accidently go into neutral, reverse, or park. Hear that Don M? |
Don would find a way.....

Isn't the clove box where the Air Conditioner is suppose to go? %/

Karl, Looks like the car is coming along nicely, Like the dash and color. What if any mods did you make to the front chassis?
|
Hi FrdFver, on the front of the chassis, I used a 1x3 box tubing to go across the top of the frame rails and then used the same tubing to X brace from the top tube to the saddle cross member. Really wanting to cut down on the frame twisting I had because the left front wheel was being carried through second gear, while the right front was still on the ground. (I run an AT) I also have some similar bracing at the back end of the frame. I'm thinking that if this doesn't do the trick, I may have to run a diagonal bar from the top of my roll bar, by the driver's head, down to the frame by the passenger's foot box. Afraid that would impinge on the passenger's comfort, and that would be a bad thing. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" would probably not take kindly to it.

Probably get that toy with the big glove box running; drive it one day and get sucked up right off the drag strip by an alien ship passing by. I heard you were putting a hitch on it as well to put all the extra drag strip goodies...
