Last year I thrashed and thrashed on my 66 Mustang so I could bring it. It didn't work out. IF, I quit tearing it apart, I might make it this time.

Bob, the reason it ended so early was because after the cops showed up several times and threatened to arrest you, the rest of us got the hell out of there!

Yes, Bob, I am easily confused!
It must have been some other "rubber-burning" dude putting down a new layer of blacktop in Dennis's lot. :3DSMILE:

Tinney, once the moderators realized how wise I am, they gave me that "Senior" rating!
Actually, you'll get that rating when they see how easily confused you get! That's why Mikie has the same rating. :p
I am not looking forward to the next rating, "Senile Member", like some of our members are getting close to. Not mentioning any names here, just sayin'...
Ralph:(

mikiec 11-02-2011 03:46 PM

Ralph, I know the moderators here and I might be able to arrainge that.

Tinny, Ralph young? His clock has already turned over at least 3 times.

So, is doing burnouts illegal in Arizona or do just some people not appreciate the Arizona Cobra boys blackening up their parking lots with skid and tire marks and, err, oh yes, when DWRAT does burnouts, human effluent, yep, thats the correct word human effluent or was that Mike, I forget.:JEKYLHYDE tin-man

Danr55 11-10-2011 04:50 AM

"yep, thats the correct word human effluent or was that Mike, I forget." Is he calling the Prez a pile of crap?:eek:

Now there you go twisting my words again, I was referring to it being either DWRAT or Mikie that almost chit their pants when doin burnouts. Far be it for me to call Mikie, that very nice gentlemen, our leader and person of impeccable character, sharp shooter of renown, the Bat Masterson of the recent Laughlin trip, the saver of souls, coordinator par excellence, arbiter of bitter Cobra color arguments, dispenser of wisdom, the go to person for advice on worldly matters of importance and one fine upstandin' gent a pile of chit, err, crap.:CRY::CRY:

To the contrary, if you disagree with what I said about Mikie, maybe you could opine on what points do not apply?

It seems to me you are grossly mistaking hyperbole and effusive verbal drama describing our Arizona Cobra Prez, for crap.

That is decidedly not the case here, listen to all the wannbe presidential candidate talk and you'll get the picture. There is a distinct difference between crap speak and err, well, any articulated well placed verbal drama.

Hyperbole is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is not meant to be taken literally.

Hyperboles are exaggerations to create emphasis or effect. Sniff, got it?

John-Tucson 11-10-2011 10:29 PM

I agree. What's a hyperbole?

Hyperbole is a figure of speech which is an exaggeration. Persons often use expressions such as "I nearly died laughing," "I was hopping mad," and "I tried a thousand times." Such statements are not literally true, but people make them to sound impressive or to emphasize something, such as a feeling, effort, or reaction.

Thus, The Bat Masterson of the recent Laughlin trip, sharp shooter of renown, coordinater par excellence, these comments can be classified as hyperbole.

Conversly, when someone asks, "what's a hyperbole.

tin-man

Danr55 11-11-2011 05:23 AM

Thus the crap of which I speak.. hyperbole not withstanding!

tin-man 11-11-2011 07:01 AM

You cut me to the quick sir.

Dan, you never responded to my original question after your commentary, what did I say about Mikie that you disagree with, did I misstate the truth, did I lie about Mikie's attributes as Prez, what I was doing was paying the gentleman a compliment in the sense there was a contrived misunderstanding on your part and you accused me of calling Mike a pile of crap. Such a comment between friends requires a response that I prepared using hyperbole as the foundation of clearing up the confusion surrounding the original comment regarding an event that happened previously whereby somebody had an incident doing burnouts, being either DWRAT or Mikie, to which I opined I did not quite remember exactly. Knowing full well that it was DWRAT that had an incident you took the opportunity to set me up in the manner in which you did.

So, hyperbole notwithstanding, do you agree that Mikie the Prez has the following attributes, if not, well I guess that would be between you and Mikie to sort out.

very nice gentlemen
our leader and person of impeccable character
sharp shooter of renown
the Bat Masterson of the recent Laughlin trip
the saver of souls
coordinator par excellence
arbiter of bitter Cobra color arguments
dispenser of wisdom
the go to person for advice on worldly matters of importance
and one fine upstandin' gent

Enough, your move, I need a rest.

Burnouts at Party

Yes Dan I claim the burnouts and donuts but thats the responsiblity when the Marines pick best in class Cobra, it goes with the award. I dont recall seeing any police but maybe they couldnt catch me.

I will be better this time since I have a road race in LV Dec10 at Spring Mtn and dont want anything to break (like thats going to stop me). See you at the party.
I just started building a 68 Fastback so maybe in 2 years I can bring that instead, the cops wont recognize me in a different car.
