John, I believe he is coming from Tucson and will meet everyone in Winkleman. The plan is to go from Winkleman around 77 to Globe and then back to Superior. THe Tucson folks can turn south and cover the same ground the Phoenix guys will cover on their way down. If they choose, they can continue to Florence Junction and then turn south. In any event, I'm watching the change in the weather to make sure it doesn't rain or snow. Cobras don't do well in snow,.....I don't think. Does anyone know for sure how a Cobra performs in snow?

Robert McLinden 12-19-2012 12:32 PM

Dan,

Ask the Capital Area Guys, I think they still do their New Years Day run to the Monuments in DC. It has snowed in the past and cost a few cars. It just depends on your tires and your coordination. See you Sat.

Unless I can get tires between now and Saturday I'll not make it.

Must get some before the New Years day run. If not I'll be there in the daily driver.

We know Mikie. Any excuse. This time it's tires. Last time it was a radiator hose or some such.. Not to worry.

There will be no stinkin 17's or 18's.

Well, I went to Discount. to see about getting the tire repaired. They said no go it is to old. Glad they were talking about the tire and not me. I was looking for MT SSR's but they could not get them. I ended up with the rock hard Radial T/A's. They should be in by Friday. N0 275's had to go with 295's. Yes they has 295's. I also ordered new front ones as they were also very old.

Danr55 12-20-2012 11:54 AM

Good then we'll see you Saturday morning. Looking forward to it.

mikiec 12-21-2012 05:59 AM

Tires came in last night. They had 1 for the rear and 3 for the front. I told them I do not have 3 front wheels.

Hopefully I'll get the 2nd rear today.

Karl Bebout 12-21-2012 08:50 AM

"Hopefully I'll get the 2nd rear today" I've been wishing for that for decades.

You knew something would be comin'

Danr55 12-21-2012 09:10 AM

"Suddenly, Karl looks in the mirror and recognizes the terrible truth. He really is a "rear wheel" kind of guy!'

mikiec 12-21-2012 12:22 PM

Karls, favorite saying... Butter my buns and call me a biscuit.

I'm out. Ginny needs help getting the house ready for some guests.

Enjoy the ride.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

How bad can the house be with only the two of you to mess it up? Besides you'll be back in plenty of time before the guests arrive.;)

And another "besides," ya gotta test out the new tires before the New Year Run! :p

Sometimes, ya gotta make the little lady happy.

Mike
