Special space for us at the Buckeye Air Fair

Just received an email from the rep at Buckeye Airport. They are making a special accommodation for all the Cobras at the fair next Saturday, February 23rd! We should be there between 0730 and 0830. Let's have good participation from the Cobras in the valley. It looks like fun for all. The Palo Verde exit off the I-10 west.

It looks like we are going to be able to accommodate you. A large vendor in the car show area had to cancel which will leave a nice space for your cars. Please be at the airport between 7:30 and 8:30. Looking forward to having your cars in our show.

Do you know if this covers the entry fee or not? Thanks!

Danr55 02-17-2013 11:14 AM

Gregg no entry fee unless you want to be judged.

Gofastoldguy 02-17-2013 11:48 AM

Thanks Dan...they just want us to bring our cars for display.

The freebie entrance fee takes out that one excuse for not attending. There's still "its too hot, its too cold, its too far, gas is too expensive, I've got to wash my hair (my favorite), my car's still in the shop, my stereo's broken, my cup holders are full, etc. etc. Gofast, I hope you get a good turnout, especially after all the effort you've put in to achieve the entry.

You forgot... Taking Grandson to his football game. His Mom and Dad cannot be there.

Arrival between 7:30 and 8:30am. There will probably be waiver paperwork at entrance. Tell them you are with Arizona Cobras and are all parked together. This is per Paul Daffinrud.

Just trying to help here.

Count me in Bob

Gofastoldguy 02-17-2013 10:37 PM

Thanks guys...hate to throw a party and no one shows. There are a lot of you in the east valley I know would attend if able to. We have a lot to be proud of...let's show the public!

Is there going to be an AP (assembly point) somewhere along the way or are we just showing up as we get there?

Either way, count me in.

Bob

I agree, a meeting place would be cool, then we could show up as a group (car club). Count us in.

Oh yeah, I'm all over that! its only 1 hour 23 minutes (74 miles) each way from my house!

Let's see: 0730 meet time, temp is about 55 degrees F. With wind chill at 70 mph= 47 degrees F. Hmm let me think about this.

Karl Bebout 02-18-2013 03:23 PM

Will, pack water and a lunch. You should make it with only two gasoline fill ups.

Wow! Does this mean you're going to move?

Saturday is going to be 67 degrees and sunny. Should be a fine day. Bit nippy in the morning. Dan will still be pickled. Won't feel a thing.

Some whine when it's too hot. Some whine when it's too cold. No whining allowed.
