Hello,
Being new to the site and AZ, what is the party? I like the idea that toy donations will be accepted and food and drink are involved! Any information would be great.
Regards
Dave

Dave, THis is the annual birthday party for the club. It just happens to fall around CHristmas and Hannuka when the Marines are collecting Toys for Tots. So we gather each year to pay homage to the dedicated few who started this band of .. well, this crew and share some food and scare the crap out of some Marines.. They get to choose a Cobra to ride in. Ha Ha ha.. It's a lot of fun and the only time of the year some of the crew show up.

Dave, you'll be asked to bring certain foods, an inexpensive wrapped gift for exchange at the Yankee swap (lots of fun,) and an unwrapped toy to donate to the Marines who show up to collect. There are burn outs upon arrival. Lots of food and drink (water unless you bring otherwise) up to 40 cobras and lots of people telling great tales of speed.
Last from about 10am to about 3pm. You will remember this.

Do Marines scare..... It has happened, but then the smiles happen.

Danr55 09-17-2013 10:48 AM

Maybe they don't scare. Maybe they just lose the color in their knuckles.

The Marines that show up are fine young representatives. Corporal or above, full dress uniforms regardless of weather. Shined to jealousy. We try to fill their vehicle with toys. Usually a full sized pickup truck. Takes lots of toys. The Marines choose 1 cobra as their favorite and then get to take a ride in it. Randy last year probably scared a rank out of the poor guy. At least it sounded like it.
