7th Annual Kit Cars on the Colorado
Another great trip with perfect weather. Super time. Lots of parking lot drinking and bench racing. 15 entries in show. 4 winners of 5 classes. No "C" class. Remember that next year. We stop about every hour of driving going to.
Got new carb http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hl...FaY9QgodVW8AnA and fuel rail on Thursday. Mr Jeff Classic came over to do a short fine tune so I could take it on the trip Friday am. Ran great. Not a leak or a glitch. 19.2mpg. Will pull plugs Monday. Happy man here. You guys who missed this weekend owe it to yourselves to go next year. 3rd weekend in October. 17, 18 & 19, 2014. Show or no show, it's simply a fun trip. I even got a photo of Mikie C cleaning his cobra. Tell me that's not unusual! AZ Bob |
Sorry I missed the trip but I was committed to attending Mesa Mike's daughter's wedding. Was the 15 entries the total of cars that showed up? Who-all from where-all? Has Ralphie made bail yet?

Congratulations to the happy parents. 15 entrants, more showed up. 10 from AZ and 5 from CA. 3 from Vegas stopped in for a visit. 2 awards to cobras from AZ and 2 to CA cars. One is a 34 Ford 3 window that Mikie C drooled over. Bill Bryan won a trophy and I got one that says "3rd place grand touring."
Ralphie apparently made bail. Drank all his Buds then went on the hunt for "anything." He still can't go closer that 100 feet to a grade school. AZ Bob |

That 34 was very nice. It was for sale, but after closer inspection I did not ask the price.
1st issue was the chevy motor, an LS1. he kept the LS1 drive train and computer so it functions like it's supposed to. Sounded really nice. 2nd issue was the drop of the top. Too low so that my head hit it. I know add a Gurney bubble. Lower the seat etc.. Lastly it was a Street Beast kit. The owner and builder did a fantastic job on it and it was close to perfect. He always builds that way. But with Street Beast/CMC's history I'll stay away. |
