Next?
Normally our next organized function is either a Phoenix-Tucson Challenge or, if not, the annual picnic.
Tucson John, up for a challenge? We could do the same old DQ stop for reward in Superior and/or lunch in Winkleman. We would even buy our own. As for the picnic. Karl from East Bum Screw Mesa says he would like to choose a picnic ground on the south or east part of town. OK with me. We don't drink at our picnic anyway (except Tucson John.) Normal picnic date is first Saturday in April but that is not firm. How about it Karl???? When you get back in town. AZ Bob |
Hi Bob, thanks for planning ahead. I'd like to see another Tucson vs. Phoenix run. I am for a new route, there has to be some roads that are good for the Cobras and not too busy.
I like the idea of going to a nice park in the metro area for the picnic. The thought of green grass and large trees, vs. rattlesnakes and heat, is appealing. Yes, I have had an occasional beer, isn't that what picnics are for ? |
Besides, the Dairy Queen in Superior has been closed for almost a year.. It would be tough even for John to buy ice cream there..

Green grass and tall trees..... We going to Flagstaff?

One of the things I liked about Bartlett was is that it is about the sane distance for mostly everyone. I also liked the road.
Tell me where and when for the ext one. |
There is an abandoned picnic area at the old BeeLine Drag strip. The drag strip is still there. Well it's all dirt and shrubs now.
