World-class photographer shoots a Cobra

Photography is my hobby so when I read the blog of world-class photographer Scott Kelby mentioning he was looking for cars to shoot in his visit to Phoenix for a seminar I jumped at the chance. As luck would have it he selected my car for part of his shoot. Below is the link to his blog post documenting the shoot.

I know, I know, the car is referred to as a "Shelby Cobra". I mentioned a couple times to them that it was a Superformance licensed replica of a Shelby Cobra but they're photographers and evidently it got lost in the translation. This is a site for photographers and about photography not cars, so no one cares.

Scott was a super nice guy and what he can do photographically is amazing -- what a talent! I learned a lot at his seminar and the shoot, and the pizza wasn't bad either. :)

Let's see now, if I paint the walls of my garage white, bring in some lights...

Sandy, outstanding! Great photos. Thanks for posting.

Could not have chosen a better subject, unless it had been sorta copper colored with a Chevy engine. tee hee.

I think it's the Cobra that makes a person feel younger. :)

Don't anyone forget what an excellent photographer Sandy is himself, and he undoubtedly picked up some tricks that'll make him even better.

Great shots. The key was the studio and minimizing reflections. Anyone can take exceptional cobra photos by going to cobra country and following Curt photo tips. He provides measurements, angles and heights. Photography is not as trivial as most think and a car has to be one of the hardest objects to photograph due to reflections.
