Next Car show...
 
"Cruisin' under the Stars" will be the next show on our annual schedule. It will be held on May 17th at the Victory Lane Sports Complex, ****3 N. 43rd Ave in Glendale. Hours will be 1600 to 1000 with a $20 entry fee. All will be for the benefit of the "Make a Wish Foundation of Arizona". www.cruisinarizona.com has the link to the show and entry forms. Thanks,

We have attended this function many times. Park on baseball field grass. Food and drink handy. A few vendors. Many raffle prizes. Makes for a nice night of bench racing. No trophies. We gather and arrive together to park together.

This one of the few shows that some of us go to. It is for a good cause.

Sounds like a worthy cause that I'd be willing to support by providing a car for spectators to look at , and the registration fee. Most me-pay-you thingies I won't. Regretably, I'll be in Jacksonville for The Devil Child's HS graduation. (fortunately, she has become a most wonderful person, but the first 3 or 4 years were certainly a test)

Any of you planning on attending this Saturday? I will be! If we plan a meeting site before and travel together we can probably be together as a group....we could be groupies!

Plan to meet in the south west area of the parking lot at 5pm so we can enter and park together. When you turn left into the parking lot from 43rd Ave turn right immediately. We will be there gathering. Then we park normally in one of the north 2 ball fields in the grass of the outfield. Here is a map http://goo.gl/maps/KF0q2

The organizers really need to do a better job of advertising this event. It has dwindled from covering 3 baseball fields to one and a half.

Yup, I agree with Mikie. This will be my last attendance unless I see more promotion.
Even the raffle awards were cheesy.

Cheesy only becuz you won Bob! The rest of us didn't win squat! My first Make A Wish event and I was disappointed in the turn out as well. A couple of people didn't see where th cars were at either. I know they must have been blind.

Any other events coming up in the next couple of weeks worth going too?

They need to do a better job. I wonder if what's her name would would do this for free? Nah, not going to happen.

I was not impressed either. Even the "goodie" bag was a joke. The cars on the T shirt were two of the ugliest cars at the show. (Studebaker Wagon and a partially finished MG). What a joke.
