Kit cars on the Colorado 2014??

Anyone know if "kit cars on the Colorado" is scheduled for 2014?
If so, when?

Karl Bebout 05-20-2014 06:49 PM

Ratty, looking for another chance at running MIKIEC down?

DWRAT 05-20-2014 07:01 PM

Hell no, I don't even think I will do burn outs anymore.

Danr55 05-21-2014 08:46 AM

Burnouts anymore? What ANYMORE?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 05-21-2014 12:57 PM

Dan, Kit Cars on the Colorado is scheduled as usual. 3rd week in October (17-19). Same place, Riverside. Dave Martin in LA is in control. Flyer, entry form when we get closer. He will arrange for T-Shirts, trophies and dash placques. I will contact during summer and post as needed.

Rat,

You are banned from driving on the property. We will have the Valet park your car, take the keys, and give them back to you after the event.

I was hoping to see Dan do another wild and crazy burnout. The video was too short. If it was any longer, the car would be toast. **):JEKYLHYDE**)

Car Nut 05-22-2014 10:35 AM

Dan, I would be happy to give you some burnout training.

That sounds great, we can train with the falcon right?

mikiec 05-22-2014 07:28 PM

Yeah, as long as you pay for the gas and tires. Not sure which would be cheaper.

No, that would be too much car for you. We'll need to start with your new Cobra. Kind of like training wheels.

Paul Gillespie 05-29-2014 03:31 PM

The Cobra is too much to start with, as displayed a few years in that big parking at the Riverside. I'm thinking my Focus might be too much, someone have a Yugo for Dan to start with?

mikiec 05-29-2014 04:00 PM

Ginny has a pedal bike for him.

I'm gonna use the Valet this time, no more bringing up the past.

Danr55 05-30-2014 07:49 AM

You're going to let some stranger park your cobra? Wait a minute while I close my eyes and imagine the look on the guys face when you pull up and say, "Park My Cobra"...

Wait for it...... The sound of screeching tires, the blue smoke, the roar of the motor, the sound of fiberglass crunching against concrete.
Got it.. OK you do that.

Car nut, sound familiar?

Car Nut 06-01-2014 08:28 AM

It was palm trees.

fordracing65 06-01-2014 06:59 PM

Do you think their are some CSX owners continuation series that would not go to this because of the title (KIT CARS ON THE COLORADO) since they don't consider their cars kits but real...lol:JEKYLHYDE

Only if they think there better then the rest of us and in that case who would want them there anyways.
BTW, Backdraft and Superformance are also "not" kit cars but I know of at least 2 that will be there and I can't wait.:D

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 06-01-2014 07:59 PM

Bruce's 66 Mustang and Jim's 72 Olds are not kit cars and they will be there.
We SPF owners are supposed to think of our cars as "Replicars" but "Kit" is the only family we fit into. It's just that somebody else built the roller. We messed up everything after that.
