Bob is home and is bored.

Robert McLinden 06-22-2014 05:43 PM

Bob,

Good to hear you are home. Stay cool while you recover.

Karl Bebout 06-23-2014 02:14 AM

Drugs, Bob. You, of all people should know the advantages to fight boredom.

Danr55 06-23-2014 05:52 AM

Speedy recovery my friend. :)

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 06-23-2014 11:40 AM

Thanks to all. I am alive, barely. 5 and 1/2 hours in surgery, 3 and 1/2 in recovery, 1 day in ICU and 1 day in Surgery recovery. This is the most difficult event I have ever faced. Home, but almost can't move. Don't dare cough or laugh. Carrying a Foley bag until July 7th. Prostate cancer is in my family history. My dad died during treatment at 74 years old. Modern technology has given me more years to enjoy you guys, even Karl. The next 4 weeks will get me back to my normal (whatever that is.) Future and additional treatments will be determined by biopsy results. I expect radiation next.
Have your PSA and Prostate checked at age 50 and decide from there on your path. Listen to your Dr's recommendation. Leave my surgery as a last resort if you can.
This sucks.

I was just massaged and tested about 1 week ago. So fa so good.

How is Sandy doing?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 06-23-2014 03:30 PM

So everyone knows what's going on. On Wed, June 11th, Sandy had emergency Gall Bladder Removal surgery. Came home on on the 12th and couldn't wake up on the 13th. Had to ambulance her to ER due to low Oxygen levels where she stayed until the 15th. In the mean time, Trent, our youngest son has his first child at a different hospital (T-Bird) on the 13th. Sandy is doing better, she has to to take care of me. She has almost as many holes in her stomach as I do. Tough old gal. We are suffering together. What a sight. Laugh a minute.
Thanks for asking Mikie.
By the way, Lincoln Axel Broberg was born 7lbs 12 oz and is doing great. Looks like Ralphie.

Scotchman 06-24-2014 07:43 AM

rdr747 06-25-2014 09:49 AM

Although I post very little on this site, I enjoy the conversations... Only good thoughts your way Bob.... It's obvious you have many GOOD friends...

Rowland

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 06-25-2014 10:46 AM

Thanks Rowland. All of our members are really great people. As much as we love our cars, lt's about the people. Spend some day trips and weekends with us and you will see. Everyone is seeking fellowship, fun and excitement. Type A people that get along. Wonderful bunch. Except that Karl guy. (Had to get one in.)

Still hurtin though. Just less

Our Cobras

Bob,
Do what you have to do to stay with the group!!
I think the first Cobra you drove was my FFR #1180 to Knott's...
In reply to the co Pilot needed ad that I put on CC.
Then the time I trailerd your Cobra to Knott's and you lost your contact lens and I had to drive you all the way home!
We also had a Coors or two together.
See you in Laughlin with the FFR MK4 that I am building for my friend's girl.
Good Luck,
Bill:)
P.S. I know a guy that can get you any drugs that you want!!:JEKYLHYDE
