Body Shop?

All,

I am soliciting recommmendations for a high quality body shop to repair my wife's beautiful, black, 2013 SRT8 Challenger.

It was hit pretty hard on the drivers door and has a lot of damage. I thought they would total it, but State Farm is considering repairing it instead. If repaired, I need to have a very, very good job done, both cosmetically and structurally since this thing has a lot of power and is capable of very high speeds. State Farm will be asking us next where we want to send the car for repair, so I need solid recommendations.

BTW, please don't ask what happened, I'm still in the doghouse!!!

Do you have any suggestions in the PHX area for fairly extensive repairs?

Thanks everyone!

Scott's Coach Works, Inc - Specializing in Collision Repair and Painting of Luxury Vehicles These guys have done great work on high end cars for a long time. They repaired my cobra back in 2003 to the tune of $27K and I drove away happy. Don't expect quick repair, just good work.
I know of 2 other AZ Cobra members who have used them.

Bob,

Thanks for the advice. Will look into them.

Eric....

ENquiring minds want to know. What did you do to Momma's car?

ItBites 07-10-2014 10:53 AM

Bad things Karlos, bad things... Wasn't even having fun at the time.

BTW - to all: State Farm has not been responsive and quick about getting this resolved. I have been with them for 32 years and thought I was paying for pretty good service, but apparently not when you really need them. I am considering a change once this is all over.

Believe it or not, I have had GREAT service from Progressive.

ItBites 07-10-2014 06:31 PM

Rat,

Thanks for the word on Progressive. Can't stand the commercials, but if the service is GREAT, I may be a new customer.

Bob B.

Thank you for the recommendation. I am having the car moved to Scott's Coach Works for a real estimate to repair. In talking to Matt, he seemed to have the right understanding of my requirements, so I hope to be a happy customer. Will report back, but thanks again.

The owners of Progressive support only Left wing Liberal politicians with a lot of money. I wouldn't even consider them even if Flo came to the door.

"Progressive"? Isn't that a term used to describe a political candidate when he doesn't want to call himself or herself a socialist?

Pelosi is a "Progressive"
Osama Obama is a "Progressive"
Reid is a "Progressive"

Let's keep politics out.

ItBites 07-11-2014 10:35 AM

Bob and Dan,

Youse are so right about the whole Progressive thing. I couldn't go there. On a better note, I contacted my State Farm Agent yesterday and told him I was dissatisfied with the customer service. He lit a fire somewhere because I got all my calls returned from the claims folks in about 30 minutes. Anyhow, I hope things will be going better from here on out.

Thanks for the support and the chuckles.

Bob, Who is that posting under Mikie's banner? I know Mr. Mikie wouldn't say anything like that about keeping politics out..

My opinion only::rolleyes:
insurance companies like banks are all about relationships.
If you have someone working with you that ;)only you can cut to the chase with and look out for you in your needs then you should keep them close.
In today's world it all about making a $ and nothing more.....usually except for us over 55 crowd.

Karl Bebout 07-14-2014 08:40 AM

Eric, hope you get Momma's car fixed nicely, then trade it in for the 707hp monster so I can wheedle you, or Mrs. Sweetie into a ride.
